About Wild Daisy

Hi, I’m Heather or “Wild Daisy” as my friends like to call me.

True to my nickname, I’ve taken a meandering road in life but somehow managed to make it this far and reach a point where I can finally and truthfully say, “Yeah, I’m happy, truly happy.” That’s a cool place to be.

It only took 48 years, a series of botched relationships, a few years of psychotherapy, approximately 56 self-help books, one nervous breakdown, several servings of carrot cake, a complete life overhaul and a cross-country trip in a daisy-covered RV……..and more………but here I am.

My career path has been equally as “daisy-like”. As a young girl, I launched a fledgling entrepreneurial career selling cucumbers door to door. Not one of my more brilliant money-making ideas I might add. Later on in life I worked as a chef, personal trainer, bed and breakfast operator, barista and a few other odd jobs including an ill-fitting stint as a cubicle dwelling, office worker. Again, not one of my more brilliant ideas but it paid the bills.

Now I do what I love the most: I write. I blog. I speak.  I just want to help others learn to follow their heart too and live an adventurous life that is fun, inspired and feels good.

I am in the midst of self-publishing my new book, Following Daisies – A True Story about One Woman’s Adventures Finding Happiness, Fulfilling Dreams and Becoming Herself, which is a story about all of the above. It will be released in the spring of 2012 but in the meantime you can enjoy reading it here where I’ll be posting a chapter each week up until the official release of the print version.
